Concise coverage of the history of Britain; no bibliographies.
Also in print: Carrier Ref DA34 .O93 1997. - Reader's Guide to British History
Covers all time periods and all constituent parts of the British Isles. Arranged alphabetically by topic, a guide to the best secondary literature on British history, broadly defined. Each topical entry lists secondary works; the entry then discusses each of these important works in relation to one another and in historiographical context.
Also in print, Carrier Ready Ref DA34 .R43 2003. - Oxford Dictionary of National BiographyBiographies of more than 56,000 men and women who shaped all aspects of the British past, from the earliest times. This is the online edition of a 60-volume print set that may be found at Carrier Reference DA28 .O95.
