This guide will help get you started using library resources specific to media arts and design subjects. Use the tabs located along the top to navigate directly to a guide designed for a specific course, or jump right in with one of the general resources listed on this page. Getting Started

While you may want to navigate directly to the page for a specific class right away (see the tabs along the top of this page), the below list of resources can be good starting point for many research topics.

  • LexisNexis Academic
    Includes full text state and federal court opinions.

    • LexisNexis Academic is huge. Narrow your searches to the legal content and be creative in your keywords.
    • For the simplest searches--citation or party name--expand the area called Look Up a Legal Case.
    • For landmark cases and keyword searching, click on "Cases" in the Look Up a Legal Case area.
  • Communication & Mass Media Complete  
    Article index with some full text in the fields of communication and mass media studies.
