Music Library Instruction and Workshops

Information Literacy in music research, performing, and education

Unique Music for [insert your instrument or voice here]

As the music market becomes increasingly flooded with multiple versions of the same repertoire, it becomes more difficult for an artist to find unusual and unique repertoire to perform and record.  This workshop focuses on repertoire discovery using reviews, newspapers, journals and other library resources--an important skill for the performer as they transition from student to professional.

While any type of rare or unusual repertoire is a worthy target, focusing on "Early" or "Contemporary" music will be more productive.  As with all Music Library workshops, collaboration is essential to establish parameters of this workshop.
