The food industry is responsible for approximately 30% of global greenhouse gas emissions, according to an UN Food and Agriculture Organization report.

That's why companies are trying to upcycle leftovers to reduce waste, looking at plant-based alternatives to meat, and exploring "dark kitchens" to increase the sustainability of delivery services.
