Open Educational Resources (OERs)

Open Educational Resources are ...

... any educational resources such as textbooks, tutorials, handouts, quizzes, videos, etc.

... that have an open license, which allow users to reuse, redistribute, revise, remix, and retain resources.

Case study resources

Fee-based case study publishers include Harvard Business Publishing, HEC Montreal, Ivey Publishing, WDI Publishing. These publishers require instructors to license cases individually or by building course packs. These publishers often don't allow academic libraries to purchase their cases. Therefore, students will have to pay for access to each case you assign from these publishers.

NOTE: JMU Libraries can't buy Harvard cases for instructors or borrow cases through Interlibrary Loan for students. All Harvard case studies must be licensed for use each semester through Harvard Business Impact.
