Your mental health matters. In addition to the resources provided by JMU's Counseling Center, JMU Libraries also has a few materials to support your well being at work. Use the Libraries search box to look for physical and digital books, articles, and more on self-care at work.

Articles

Faculty Focus and the Chronicle of Higher Education both regularly address faculty well-being and self-care on their platforms. Harvard Business Review addresses burnout and well-being in organizations. 

Access notes: JMU Libraries subscribes to the Teaching Professor and the Chronicle. You can also read the latter for free by creating an account. Faculty Focus requires you to sign up for an account to read articles -- no institutional subscription is available. 

Videos on self-care and stress at work

Use the Libraries Advanced Search and limit the Material Type to Video/Film to narrow your search results to find both streaming and physical videos in the Libraries' collections. You can also browse one of our many video databases for more results!
