JMU Libraries are open to anyone and everyone; non-JMU registered guests have multiple options when visiting a JMU Libraries location:
- Rose Library | 1251 Carrier Drive, Harrisonburg, VA 22807
- the most accessible library for guest visitation
- short term visitor parking for Rose Library is available at the following locations:
- Lot D3 (metered parking)
- Lot D2 (metered parking)
- JMU Libraries Express | 1050 South Main Street (Parking Lot K)
- Users picking up or returning items at this location may park in any of the four designated 15 minute parking spaces located directly along the building
- there is currently NO long term visitor parking available at this location
- A drive up book drop for returning items, located in Parking Lot K directly behind JMU Libraries Express, is available 24 hours and does not require any parking to access
- Music Library | located in the basement of the Music building along the Quad
- Metered parking is available for users behind the Forbes Center for the Performing Arts near the University Services building
- use the pedestrian tunnel underneath South Main Street to access the Quad; the Music Building will be the first stone building on the left
- ETMC | located in Memorial Hall
- non-JMU members will probably have problems parking here; encourage them to visit JMU Parking and Transit Services for a visitor pass
For Long Term Visitor Parking
- users visiting for more than a day should be encouraged to visit JMU Parking and Transit Services (located on the ground level of the Champions Drive Parking Deck) for a long term visitor parking permit
- visitors must present a valid driver's license and vehicle registration in order to obtain a visitor parking permit
