Carrier Library Items
- items formerly housed in Carrier Library have been moved to both on-site and off-site storage for the duration of the renovation
- these items are still accessible through the library catalog and can be requested for pick up at any library location
What's Moved?
- Staff & Faculty
- Some library staff, and faculty have been relocated for the duration of the renovation
- Use the Library Directory to find re-located JMU Libraries faculty & staff
- Use the Campus Directory to locate other faculty & staff who previously worked out of Carrier Library
- Equipment Loans
- equipment loans now operate out of the LID desk located on the first floor of Rose Library by the Makery
- users with questions about equipment loans should be encouraged to visit their desk, website, or contact their staff
- The Makery
- some equipment from the Makery made the move to Rose, while the rest of it went into storage
- encourage users to visit the Makery's website to view available equipment or check to see what equipment requires an appointment
- if users call for the Makery go ahead and vet their question; if it's about equipment loans inform them of the new equipment loans desk and transfer the call over there if it's still open (if it's closed tell them it's closed and give the caller their email instead: equipmentloans@jmu.edu)
