Using "Course Reading List" Feature in Canvas

What is a Course Reading List?

"Course Reading List" is a new feature in Canvas designed to help instructors incorporate library materials more seamlessly into their Canvas courses.  Reading lists can include books and articles owned by the library, videos, web resources, course reserve materials, and more.

Benefits:

  • Easy to access: Course materials lists are added to Canvas navigation so that students can find them all in one place.
  • Easy to create: Instructors search the library catalog and beyond to link directly to resources.
  • Reusable: Reading lists can be saved and reused in other courses.
