READING PURPLE EVENTS
Make time to read and perhaps chat about novels you love -- or hate! -- with other book lovers in the College of Business (CoB) by attending one of our Reading Purple events. This event is not exclusive to CoB, anyone in the JMU community is welcomed to attend!
What are Reading Purple events?
We'll give you an opportunity to make time for reading and relaxing. How it will work:
- Bring a book to the Hartman Hall Forum or choose one from the Read Purple cart. The cart will be available for browsing at this event.
- We'll start with about 15 minutes of chatting and settling in.
- Read for 30 minutes. Stretch for 5-10 minutes.
- Read for 30 minutes.
- Wrap up and depart!

- Wednesday, Sept. 18 – 6:30-8 p.m.
- Tuesday, Oct. 8 - 7-8:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, Nov. 6 - 6:30-8 p.m.
Locating the Reading Purple events
In the Hartman Hall Forum, also known as Room 2021. Directions: From the Hartman lobby, ascend the grand staircase to the second floor, then walk by the skylight to the Forum at the other end of the hall.
Refreshments will be provided.
