What is a Peer Research Adviser?

Need help finding information for a business plan or another business paper/project?

We have a team of students who can help you utilize business information effectively, including data not available via a "regular" Google search. They are called Peer Research Advisers (PRAs). PRAs are trained to help you navigate research taking advantage of specialized resources in marketing, operations, management, and finance.

PRAs can also help you with:

  • Finding articles on business topics
  • Navigating credible resources for business plan research
  • Evaluating the quality of the sources you find online
  • Citing sources in APA

If you are tackling research with a faculty adviser or in an upper level course, consider meeting with a Business Librarian.

Meet our 2025-26 Peer Research Advisers

Claire Svihra

International business major

Claire was a finalist in the 2025 COB 300 Business Plan Competition. She became a peer research adviser because she loved her COB 300 experience and wants to help other students succeed.​ She would be happy to help you get creative with your marketing and operations research!

Lorenzo Giamberardino

Accounting major  

Lorenzo hopes to launch his career by joining a Big 4 firm after graduation. In his free time, he plays guitar, enjoys movies, and spends time with his fraternity brothers.​

Payton Jaciow

Finance major

Payton became a Peer Research Adviser to support other CoB students in gaining confidence within their research. She loves offering guidance whether it's for something small or more in-depth-- and is happy to assist with any part of your business plan. Feel free to reach out!​

Umar Khan

Finance major, concentration in Financial Analysis

Umar became a peer research adviser to support his passion for helping others succeed and to provide guidance to students during the rewarding and challenging COB 300 experience. ​After graduation, he plans on pursuing a job in financial analysis or investment research.​
