Online Teaching & Learning Guide: Home

The rapidly-evolving COVID-19 situation is disrupting campus life. We're all transitioning to online education. It may feel daunting to learn and teach in new ways. We at JMU Libraries are here to help you. Take a deep breath and remember to:

  • Be kind to yourself and each other. None of us has been in this situation before, but we’ll get through it together.
  • Students, let your professors know what help you might need right now, and not just for learning online. Click here for resources for online learning.
  • Faculty, think creatively about how to help students progress on core learning objectives when teaching online. Click here for resources for online teaching.
  • Remember that sometimes, the best options for human connection in online teaching and learning are the most low-tech, accessible, and inclusive options.

We will continue to update this guide as more information becomes available. Please see this Libraries news item for additional resources available to you, and JMU’s COVID-19 FAQ for up-to-date information.
